Care for Temporary Veneers
What happens if they fall off?
They are designed to be removed easily if they detach don’t hesitate to call our office and we can re cement or make new temporaries for you. If you are unable to come into our office, feel free to purchase over the counter denture adhesive.
How do I keep my teeth clean?
They are delicate so avoid using a spin brush and flossing. Gentle brushing and mouthwash twice a day is all that is recommended.
What can I eat?
Recommended foods to eat are anything soft such as pasta, mashed potatoes, soft bread, eggs, chicken, and bananas. Avoid hard, crunchy, sticky foods at all costs as they will cause the temporaries to detach or break. They also pick up stains easily so avoid foods such as tomato sauce, red wine, curries, etc.
Will I be in any pain?
It's normal to experience some sensitivity to pressure, heat, cold and sweet foods following your temporary veneer placement; however, this should lessen over time. Your teeth or gums may be sore in the days following placement; you can rinse with warm salt water and take an over-the-counter pain reliever if needed.
